Interclub : Round 3

Last Saturday was the 3rd round of the interclub competition and despite the meeting being cancelled due to the snowy weather (mini-beast from the east) we now have the results…

For the set subject “Reflection”, congratulations are to be given to Rory for “Near Perfect Mirror”.

Near Perfect Reflection

For the set theme “Record” Mike scored 16 with “Organ, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow”

In the general section “Time for Walkies” and “Bride Stones” were both awarded 15 points while “Grey Seal Giving Chase was awarded 17.

A total of 83 gives us 5th position on the night and brings our total to 247 or 7th in the overall table.

With just one round to go we are only a single point behind Leeds Co-op, so get you best shots into the selection and we could finish in the top half of the table! Round 4 is coming up in mid-April, the set subject is “Minimal” and set theme is “Nature”.

Depth of Field

The Field In My Garden L

Please find attached above the link to the presentation I recently gave about depth of field in my garden, in other words, the depth of field for subjects close to the camera, not those stretching to the far horizon. I hope that looking at this again (and in the warm comfort of your home) it will all begin to make sense.
