Bimonthly Competitions

• Certificate Award: At the end of each round, certificates will be awarded for both print and projected entries gaining First, Second, Third, Highly Commended and Commended.
• The Calder Camera Club John Calvert Memorial Trophy: On completion of all 5 rounds, a trophy will be awarded to the member with the highest final mark in the print competition. A member’s final mark will be the sum of the 8 highest scoring print entries taken from all 5 bimonthly competitions.
• The Calder Camera Club Royd Trophy: On completion of all 5 rounds, a trophy will be awarded to the member with the highest final mark in the projected image competition. A member’s final mark will be the sum of the 8 highest scoring projected image entries taken from all 5 bimonthly competitions.

Annual Competition

Based on the judge’s decision during the print and projected image competitions, winning members will be awarded:

• Certificate of Merit in Prints: for entries in each Categories, awarded First, Second, Third, Highly Commended and Commended.
• Certificate of Merit in Projected Images: for entries in each Categories, awarded First, Second, Third, Highly Commended and Commended.
• The Calder Camera Club Print Trophy: for the best open mono/colour print entry.
• The Tom Beaumont and Champion Crabtree Memorial Trophy: for the best set subject {1} print.
• The Michael Newton Trophy: for the best set subject {2} print.
• The Calder Camera Club Colour Slide Trophy: for the best open colour/mono projected image entry.
• The John Woodhead Trophy: for the best set subject {1} projected image entry.
• The Ken Green Trophy: for the best set subject {2} projected image entry.

Jim Strom Memorial Trophy

This is awarded to the member that has not either in the current year or any previous year been awarded a trophy and who has gained the highest total of 24 marks over the whole competition programme comprising:

• the best 8 marks in the bimonthly competitions for print
• the best 8 marks in the bimonthly competitions for projected image entries
• All 8 marks in the annual competition for print and projected image entries combined.

The Photographer of the Year Shield

A trophy will be awarded to the member gaining the highest total of 24 marks over the whole competition programme comprising:

• the best 8 marks in the bimonthly competitions for print
• the best 8 marks in the bimonthly competitions for projected image entries
• All 8 marks in the annual competition for print and projected image entries combined.

The Calder Camera Club Best Print in Exhibition Trophy

This is awarded to the member receiving the highest public vote in the annual print exhibition

Prize Giving

Prize giving takes place at the end of the year social.

Please Note: The trophies belong to the Club and should be returned to the Club before the last meeting of the year.
