Hebden Bridge Camera Club – Founded 1952
“To promote the Knowledge and Enjoyment of Photography”
We are a member club of the Yorkshire Photographic Union and affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
The Club meets from September to April on Wednesday evenings in the Hebden Royd Methodist Church Hall, Market Street, Hebden Bridge at 7.45 p.m. Note the new venue for our 2025-26 programme.
Talks are given by visiting experts and club members on all aspects of still photography, covering traditional and digital prints and projected images in both colour and monochrome.
Five internal print/projected image competitions are held each year. An annual print and projected image competition is held in the autumn and there is the opportunity to submit work to the Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition.
We have competitions with neighbouring photographic societies and we are a member of the Inter-Club Group of Yorkshire which holds four projected image competitions between ten clubs.
During the summer months there is usually a fortnightly programme of events including walks and visits.
The Club has a small enthusiastic membership and potential new members are welcome to attend any meeting as a visitor. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in photography – the membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December.
Updated subs for 2026:
Annual membership: £70
Students in full time education: £30
Visitors fee: £5 per meeting (for non-members wishing to attend occasional meetings but not join the club)
